ANATO Tourist Showcase postponed

After several meetings held with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Vice Ministry of Tourism, Fontur, ProColombia, and regional government entities, ANATO has decided to postpone the realization of the ANATO 2021 Tourist Showcase, in its face-to-face and virtual version.
The foregoing, taking into account the most recent announcement made by the Presidency of the Republic and the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, on the development of the third peak of Covid-19 infections in Colombia, in addition to the restrictions that have begun to be established in the different departments of the country, which would prevent the event from being held in the scheduled times.
“We see ourselves in the need to change the dates of the ANATO 2021 TOURIST SHOWCASE, we are agreeing with the health entities of the national and district order, as well as the Vice Ministry of Tourism and Fontur, the right moment to guarantee the success of the same, which we will communicate in the next few days, ”said Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.
The Association appreciates the support and understanding on the part of official entities and regional authorities, Travel Agencies and other unions in the sector, which have expressed their participation to ANATO, once the new date has been defined.
“The development of this event is a great effort of the entire chain, since it corresponds to the reactivation of tourism and confidence in the realization of the events and conventions sector. The ANATO 2021 Tourist Showcase is already occupied by national and international exhibitors within the entire Corferias venue and more than 5,000 registered Professional Visitors have been registered to date, complying with the required capacity ", stated the union leader.
