The WTTC World Summit will be the first major event in the tourism sector this year, and under the slogan "Uniting the World for Recovery" it will become the platform to promote the recovery of the sector, which has been severely damaged by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the international economy.
The global meeting will be held from April 25 to 27 in Cancun, Quintana Roo, and will demonstrate how things can be done well, under strict biosafety standards for the protection of the health of the Participants in the venue
The global meeting will be held in a hybrid way in two aspects: with 600 delegates in person and more than 30,000 remotely, through a digital platform.

He explained that during the World Summit various initiatives related to the travel and tourism sector will be presented in terms of sustainability, digital agenda, social impact and the empowerment of women in the sector (Women in Global Travel), with great impact on equity. of genre.
The Summit will be a great event that will generate investment and promotion, but will also promote social development in the destinations, as well as the empowerment of women. These factors will give greater strength to the summit, which will mark a before and after in the sector.
The travel and tourism segment generates one in four jobs in the world, and at this moment it faces the greatest challenge in its history. The health crisis has severely impacted him and more than 174 million jobs have been affected.
