Hyatt Ziva Resort expects to debut in Riviera Cancun in 2021
The all-inclusive resort is set up to bring the brand to life and add to the growing presence in Mexico
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and Playa Hotels & Resorts NV (NASDAQ: PLYA) today announced their plans for a new all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva resort in Mexico's Riviera, Cancun region. Slated to open later this year, the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun will be the latest resort to join Hyatt Ziva's award-winning portfolio, which is designed for travelers looking to effortlessly find an all-inclusive experience.
Located between Playa del Carmen and the world famous Cancun Hotel Zone, approximately 30 minutes from the Cancun International Airport, Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun has 438 rooms and plans to give travelers the opportunity to reconnect with their loved ones, enjoy a time to relax from your everyday life, and experience the most unique aspects of Riviera Cancun.

With a focus on travel experiences for all ages, Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun will offer a variety of amenities, many of them world-inspired, as well as authentic culinary options from local restaurants; multiple pools; the Zen Spa inspired by the pre-Hispanic Mayan culture with 12 indoor massage cabins and eight outdoor ones designed to reflect the impressive natural landscape; a gym with state-of-the-art amenities; as well as views of the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea and the Bahía Petempich lagoon. In addition, the property will offer more than 4,572 square meters of meeting and event space, ideal for weddings, anniversary celebrations and a variety of meetings.
Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun's debut will bring the total number of Hyatt Ziva resorts to six in Mexico and the Caribbean. Considered an expert in this space, Playa Hotels & Resorts will operate the resort, bringing a new level of sophistication and service to the destination's all-inclusive market.
