Siemens and Amadeus set the standard for innovation in business travel
The German and Spanish firms have signed a multi-year agreement that covers the Americas, APAC and EMEA
Siemens and Amadeus are forging a new path in digital transformation. As Siemens completes its global digital platform for its travel program, it is defining how corporations, global distribution partners and travel management companies (TMC) can work together to streamline processes, simplify systems and achieve operational efficiency with technology. All this with the ultimate goal of improving the overall traveler experience.
The companies' multi-year agreement for the distribution of travel content around the world allows Siemens, and its employees through its partners TMC, to access the Amadeus Travel Platform, a leading source of content of travel that includes flights, accommodation, car rental, transfers, trains and insurance in 81 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and America. In addition, Amadeus will provide Siemens with advisory services on available content options and on how to maximize the value of content sourcing.
"Our goal is to create an innovative travel program with a global platform that shapes a new traveler experience, enhancing our business processes around buying, booking and service travel," said Albert James Kueng, Director of Global Travel Management at Siemens. "Amadeus is a key partner in helping us achieve this vision given its global presence, industry leading technology and sustainability for the future".
Business travelers around the world know that access to the best possible selection of itineraries and fares, as well as the ability to effectively manage changes, is critical when it comes to reaching a destination in time for a major commitment. Siemens and its TMC partners can rest assured that they have omnichannel access to the most relevant and high-quality content, powered by 100% open systems.
"As we move forward, we focus on implementing new and innovative ways to leverage technology to deliver seamless and safe travel experiences to business travelers," said Rajiv Rajian, Executive Vice President of Business Travel and Head of Travel Channels at America, Amadeus. "This agreement provides access to high-value travel content and services that will help Siemens drive change with innovation in its global travel program. With Amadeus Travel Platform, Siemens will benefit from the choice, consistency and transparency of a leader in travel technology and the world's largest distribution system".
