Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Colette Baruth as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of All-Inclusive Hotels & Resorts in the Americas. Baruth will lead a newly formed multidisciplinary sales team that will share direct reporting lines with regional sales, marketing, distribution and sales.

The creation of this position and a new dedicated team represents Hilton's commitment to expanding its all-inclusive category. Hilton's all-inclusive portfolio includes key properties such as Hilton Playa Del Carmen, an all-inclusive resort, Hilton La Romana, an all-inclusive family resort, and Hilton La Romana, an all-inclusive adult resort. Additionally, Hilton will welcome its new all-inclusive resorts, The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and Hilton Cancun, an all-inclusive resort, which is expected to open later this year.

A veteran of the travel and tourism industry with more than 25 years of experience, Baruth offers leadership expertise in strategic planning and development, branding, marketing, sales and distribution. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of global trade and distribution for the Americas with AMResorts and previously served as vice president of global product development for Latin America for Flight Center Travel Group USA.

"With an expanding all-inclusive presence, we knew we needed a leader with extensive experience and a true understanding of the complexities and uniqueness of this category," said Chris Wilroy, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Americas, Hilton. “Colette's background made her the perfect person. We are delighted to add his results-driven leadership and hands-on approach to implementing best practice and innovative global strategies and initiatives to this critical piece of the Hilton portfolio. "

"Hilton's entry into the all-inclusive space really changed the model for this travel industry, and the company continues to create fantastic new opportunities for customers today," said Baruth. "I am very proud to join this global industry leader as we continue to offer greater leisure offerings in some of the world's most sought-after destinations and prepare to welcome guests as travel begins to accelerate".
