Tourism Authority of Panama participates in the WTTC Summit

Panama continues to take leaps and bounds to position its country and its range of destinations internationally. Participation in a world-class event is part of the strategy that is being put into practice, such is the case of the WTTC Summit that takes place in Cancun.
Iván Eskildsen, General Administrator of the ATP traveled especially to the event to hold meetings with important officials and executives.
In fact, yesterday during the first day, he had an important meeting with Miguel Torruco, Secretary of Tourism Mexico; David Collado, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic and Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism of Jamaica. The objective has been to advance in the development of multi-destination initiatives in the region in order to recover the number of international visitors and boost jobs.
While on the second day today, Eskildsen participated in a panel entitled "Going Green" where he joined Megan Morikawa, Iberostar Global Director of Sustainability and Frank Marini, President of Yankee Leisure Group to discuss how the travel sector and tourism is becoming increasingly sustainable and how the industry can help change the behavior of travelers using technology.
