The recovery of tourism in the East is reflected with the realization of ITB Asia

The event will take place from October 27 to 29 in person at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore

The three-day annual B2B fair and convention is designed to connect key travel industry leaders in the region from the MICE, Leisure, Corporate Travel and Travel Technology segments. The in-person event will bring travel industry professionals back for meaningful business, networking, and learning through face-to-face interactions. The organizer will ensure a trade show with strong and secure management measures to provide a safe environment for all ITB Asia attendees.

Six months after it opens, the fair is attracting unprecedented demand from a total of more than 600 international exhibitors from tourism organizations, hotel companies and travel technology companies.

Celebrating its return to an event in person, the trade show is already seeing high demand for exhibition space from the heavy hitters of the industry's Tourism Organization. Participants can expect to see key industry players including Iceland-inspired Azerbaijan Tourism Council, Korea Tourism Organization, Malta Tourism Authority, Moscow Project Office for Tourism Development. and Hospitality, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Penang Global Tourism. , Saudi Arabia Tourism Authority, Shizuoka Prefectural Government, Singapore Tourism Office, Visit Finland, Visit Maldives, Visit Monaco, Zagreb Tourism Office and more.

“It has been a difficult year, but the travel industry is best known for its resilience. More and more signs of the industry's comeback are emerging. With vaccination launches around the world, the industry is right to be optimistic. After ITB Asia went fully virtual for the first time last year, I am more than pleased that we are returning to an in-person event this October. Building on past lessons and experiences, the ITB Asia team will ensure a trade show with safe and robust management measures to provide a safe environment for all ITB Asia attendees, ”said Katrina Leung, Managing Director of Messe Berlin (Singapore) , the organizer of ITB Asia.

ITB Asia 2021 will rank among the various business events with an international audience to help pave the way for the gradual resumption of large-scale trade shows and leisure travel in Singapore. The ITB Asia team will work with the Singapore Tourism Board to facilitate the entry of international MICE travelers in the short term to attend ITB Asia 2021 in Singapore. Health and safety measures will be implemented for all attendees.

According to current Ministry of Health guidelines, select groups of travelers are allowed in for essential business, official, or work purposes and will not be required to provide a Stay at Home Notice (SHN). However, they must undergo COVID-19 testing during their stay, including before departure and upon arrival, and follow a strict and controlled schedule, limiting interactions with the wider community for the first 14 days.

Key Secure Management Measures (SMM) * implemented at ITB Asia 2021:

· Exclusive transportation is provided for overseas attendees upon arrival and departure from Changi Airport and between locations within the event itinerary.

· All attendees must download the TraceTogether mobile app for contact tracking and secure entry.

· All attendees must practice a safe distance of 1 meter between people at all times.

· Temperature tests will be carried out at the entrances of the event and the venue.

All attendees must wear a mask at all times, except when eating and drinking
