Peru allows access to beaches except in provinces with extreme alert level

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Claudia Cornejo, announced that since May 31 access to the country's beaches is allowed, except in those provinces that are in extreme alert level.
This was commented during the delivery of the Safe Travels international seal to the tourist destination Playas del Norte - Tumbes, an important news that will allow to continue promoting tourism in this important area of northern Peru.
This recognition was granted by the head of the Mincetur to the regional governor, Wilmer Dios Benites, who was accompanied by mayors and a group of tourism entrepreneurs from this important region.
Minister Claudia Cornejo explained that the delivery of this badge will attract visitors to this important destination, which includes the following tourist circuits: Los Manglares de Tumbes National Sanctuary, Puerto Pizarro Mangroves, Tumbes Beaches, City Tour “Ciudad de Tumbes ”, And the Cabeza de Vaca archaeological circuit.
“I am pleased to be here, with you, to see the result of the joint work between the State and the private sector to advance the tourism of Tumbes, which, as in other regions, was affected by the COVID-pandemic. 19. I want to tell you that the effort of this important joint has paid off and the product is the delivery, today, of the international Safe Travels seal to the tourist destination Playas del Norte - Tumbes ”, he said.
The head of the Mincetur said that with this seal biosecurity measures are guaranteed so that tourists who wish to visit these attractions do so with the confidence that they will have an unforgettable, quality and safe experience, also allowing the recovery of jobs in businesses that provide services, for example, accommodation, restaurants, travel agencies, crafts, among others.
Obtaining this seal has been an arduous task, which was undertaken months ago. In that sense, I want to salute the patience and dedication of all those who made up the technical team of the tourist destination Playas del Norte - Tumbes ”, he commented.
Minister Claudia Cornejo pointed out that to date 25 tourist destinations have been recognized with the Safe Travels distinctive, which ratifies Mincetur's commitment to support the reactivation of tourism, provided that health indicators allow it.
It is important to mention that, to achieve this recognition, virtual and field work meetings were held, implementation of surveillance plans and sectoral health protocols for the prevention of COVID-19, audits and monitoring actions for tourism service providers. together with the competent regional and local bodies.
