ANATO's high expectations with the appointment of María Ximena Lombana
Today, President Iván Duque Márquez has positioned the lawyer as Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism
“We would like to welcome the new Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and express that she has the support of ANATO and Travel Agencies to seek the recomposition of the business fabric, the support of tourism companies, to continue highlighting the name from Colombia abroad, and continue to be important generators of jobs, "said Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO.
And added: "We know that their experience will allow the construction of strategies that continue to support and consolidate tourism and agencies of travel, through the extension of credit lines, support to micro and small companies and the reinforcement of competitiveness. Of a sector, which in 2019 closed with record numbers".
María Ximena Lombana is a lawyer at the Universidad del Rosario. He completed two master's degrees, one in international business law from the Washington College of Law, American University; and another in Labor Law from the University of Paris II. She was general secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, first secretary of the Colombian Mission to the United Nations, general secretary of Bancóldex and plenipotentiary minister at the embassies in France and Spain.
