American Airlines will fly from Austin to Guanacaste starting in November
The US airline will offer frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Just in time for the US market to plan its winter vacations, American Airlines announced this morning that starting November 2, it will operate the Austin, Texas (AUS) - Liberia, Guanacaste (LIR) route.
The new route will be offered to the public three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) and comes at the request of the airline's clientele, who advocated for more international connections and nonstop alternatives for the fall and winter season.
“As part of the ICT's ongoing efforts to attract airlines and increase frequencies, we are extremely pleased with the confirmation by American Airlines of these three weekly flights from Austin, Texas to the Liberia air terminal, stated Gustavo J. Segura Sancho, Rector Minister of Tourism.
The chief added that the route injects hope to families that depend on tourism in the Guanacaste region and nearby areas for the high season at the end of the year.
