"Unless we have a clear timeline and unblock travel by July 4, we will continue to see job losses," said Senior Vice President and Acting Executive Director Virginia Messina
Virginia Messina, Senior Vice President and Acting Executive Director of WTTC, said: "While we received word of a task force aimed at safely reopening travel between the UK and the US, unless we have a timeline Sure and let's unblock transatlantic travel by July 4th at the latest, we will continue to see job losses and business bankruptcies.
“Almost half of all adults in both countries are completely under attack and could travel without problems immediately, allowing airlines and the travel industry in general to recover quickly. Those who are not vaccinated should be allowed to travel with a negative test.
“In 2019, before the pandemic devastated the sector, the US was the UK's largest outbound market in terms of number of visitors, the UK was the US's third most important outbound market. This shows how vital it would be. a corridor to boost both economies".
