Fam Fest Latam concludes with zero Coronavirus infections
Organized by the RCD Hotels chain, its seventh edition culminated with singular success
The renowned convention of Latino Travel Agents called Fam Fest Latam, organized by the RCD Hotels chain, which took place from May 26 to June 6, ended its seventh edition with zero infections.
The annual convention brought together representatives from 9 countries, including Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala and Brazil, who enjoyed the event with all the sanitary measures of the SAFE + SOUND program, in the heavenly Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, allowing everyone to walk away with Negative PCR results.
“With the aim of holding a safer convention for our participants in the current health context, the seventh edition of Fam Fest Latam brought with it improved biosafety protocols, in safeguarding the Latino Travel Agents and Tour Operators who participated in it. The appointment, held in two groups, achieved its goal, declaring itself at its end as “Covid Zero”, after all its participants and staff obtained negative PCR test results before returning to their countries, ”said Leonel Reyes, Corporate Director for Latin America from RCD Hotels.
He also added, “We are proud to have been able to fulfill the task of closing this convention totally free of Covid-19, which was the bet from day one, in protection of the Latino Travel Agents who accompanied us during this seventh edition of the Fam Fest Latam ”.
In the first instance, crowds were reduced, dividing the convention into two groups: Spanish-speaking Latino travel agents, who were part of this event from May 26 to 30; and the travel agents of Brazil, who did it from June 02 to 06. In the same way, outdoor activities were prioritized, maintaining social distance in the assemblies and the mandate to use a mask at all times.
For the organization of this convention, having concluded with all the participants and staff with negative results in their PCR tests demonstrates the importance of sanitary protocols, as well as, they consider that it is great news for Latino Tourism, which has been so affected during the development of the Pandemic. "This shows us that, with robust biosecurity programs, the reactivation of tourism can be safe for travelers from Latin America," concluded Leonel Reyes.
In its seventh edition, Fam Fest Latam was held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, the first Hard Rock Hotel All Inclusive in the world, located on the pristine beaches of the Dominican Republic. The event featured a program of varied activities for Latino Travel Agents, which included tours, presentations and experiences, such as yoga classes, massages, painting, mixology, cooking and origami, as well as -and for the first time- with a day Game Changers, which featured two renowned speakers who sought to promote physical and mental change in the participants.
