All member countries of the Organización Mundo Maya are open to tourists and receive visitors without quarantine requirements; although some require a negative antigen test to enter.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) places most of the region under risk level 3, the same level as the US and Canada, with the exception of El Salvador and Belize, which are at risk level 2: more moderate.

The Region receives tourists from all over the world; Most of the visitors come from the American continent from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America including Belize and Panama and from the South of America from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and also the Dominican Republic; In the case of Europe, the largest number of tourists who visit the Mayan World are from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Russia, and from Asia visitors are received mostly from Japan, Taiwan, and Israel.

Generally, in normal years, the entry of tourists throughout the region has exceeded the average of 25 million tourists per year, so it is expected that after the recovery of tourism worldwide, the Mundo Maya region will be able to increase the figures by at least 30 million in the next year.

There are tourist circuits that tourism operators offer to visitors, with all the transportation facilities, accommodation and tourist services necessary to visit all the countries in the region. There are also airlines that connect the different destinations and work is currently underway on other air connectivity projects that will be announced in the near future.
