Amadeus launches advanced travel retail through NDC with United Airlines
The multi-year agreement will include NDC content packs and other new features for travel sellers, allowing them to personalize and enhance their offers and the confidence of travelers
Amadeus and United Airlines have renewed their distribution agreement that reinforces their commitment to modern retail and improves communication between the airline and travel sellers. The deal includes United Airlines New Distribution Capability (NDC) -enabled content, which will be available to travel agencies and corporations globally later this year through the Amadeus Travel Platform.
NDC is enabling new possibilities for customers by offering more options and personalized content, as well as offering possibilities and services on more channels where travelers shop. United Arilines will offer NDC-enabled ancillary services, additional customer benefit services, and ongoing pricing for NDC-enabled agencies booking travel on airline flights. Service capabilities will also be added to automate customer interaction.
An important benefit of this agreement is a better NDC-enabled shopping experience, including real-time updates and notifications related to the customer's record. United Airlines has long championed these benefits as a member of the Amadeus NDC [X] program.
