Guadalajara and Madrid more connected by Aeroméxico
With this new flight, your seat offer between Mexico and Spain will increase by 21%
Starting next December 15, Aeroméxico will connect directly to Guadalajara and Madrid with three weekly flights, which will represent a 21% growth in its total monthly seat capacity between Mexico and Spain and the possibility of serving more customers from Aeroméxico Cargo.
The route will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner equipment and customers will be able to travel directly from the pearl of Guadalajara to Spain without having to stop in Mexico City, which will make their travel experience more agile and comfortable. The new route joins the 14 weekly flights that the airline operates from Mexico City to the Spanish capital, with which it has been connecting for more than six decades. For the launch, Aeroméxico offers initial rates starting at USD $ 599 in Economy Class and USD $ 1999 in Premier Class.
Governor Enrique Alfaro Ramírez highlighted the importance of this new: "On December 15, the first flight will arrive in our city, which will be from Madrid to Guadalajara. Today is a step that many have fought for for a long time, to Aeroméxico mi gratitude for their solidarity with Guadalajara and with our state, to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico also as a fundamental promoter in this achievement; to Germán Ralis who at the head of the Tourism Secretariat has led the efforts and to Alejandro Guzmán's team, who has been together with Ernesto Sánchez and the entire team of the economic cabinet, pushing this initiative, which today I insist becomes great news for Guadalajara ".
After Madrid tourists enjoy the pearl of Guadalajara, as well as the great agave landscapes that the state of Jalisco has, thanks to this flight they will also be able to be closer to one of the most important beach destinations nationwide such as It is Puerto Vallarta, since only 5 hours away by land you will have the opportunity to know and enjoy the warm waters of the Mexican Pacific, as well as its gastronomy.
Andrés Castañeda, Aeroméxico Executive Vice President of Digital and Customer Experience, pointed out: “Connecting the State of Jalisco directly with Spain and the European continent, marks a new stage in Aeroméxico. This announcement is only part of the plans we have to grow in this State and in others that our clients demand, including more opportunities for freight transportation. We thank the authorities of the Government of Jalisco for their great disposition and the entire team of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, because this is possible thanks to joint efforts ”.
For his part, Raúl Revuelta Musalem, General Director of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), was satisfied to complete a long-term project: “We are very happy to materialize this effort of more than 20 years, with which we achieved a route direct to Europe from and to Guadalajara Airport. This is proof of the progress of Aeroméxico and that it is confident in the growth and modernization of the Tapatío Airport ”. And it is that, even in times of pandemic, GAP invests more than 15 billion pesos through the "Plan Guadalajara 2020-2026", which included the remodeling of Terminal 1, the construction of a second runway and Terminal 2 .
Aeromexico recently announced the incorporation of new state-of-the-art aircraft, whose deliveries began last June. With this, the airline will continue to increase its connectivity network, offering a better service with the highest safety standards and with modern, efficient and less polluting aircraft.
