Gol will require all its employees to fully vaccinate against Covid-19 from November
During the months of September and October, the Company will further intensify its internal campaign to raise awareness and promote inoculation
Safety is the number 1 value of GOL Linhas Aéreas. Therefore, adopting the Covid-19 vaccine as a prerequisite for your internal audience is a natural decision. Reinforcing the non-negotiable commitment to this value and to collective health, the Company will require all its employees, as of November of this year, to be immunized by vaccination.
As a Brazilian company committed to safety since its first launch, GOL has awaited, with great expectations, the availability of vaccines for all Brazilians. Once offered, they have been shown to be the most effective way to protect life and control the pandemic. The significant decrease in the number of cases, especially in the most serious forms of manifestation of the disease, is directly related to the advance of vaccination. The Company, therefore, vehemently encourages the adherence of its Employees, Clients and society as a whole to the National Immunization Program (PNI).
Operating in a service sector that involves direct and frequent contact with the public, we, Brazilian aeronautics and airline workers, fall into the priority group and have had access to immunization agents since June of this year. Currently, more than 80% of GOL Employees are already vaccinated with at least one dose, a figure that reveals the clear commitment of the Company's internal public in an attitude of caring for their own health, their families, co-workers, Clients and of the whole society.
Starting in November, proof of vaccination against Covid-19 will be an essential requirement at GOL.
During the months of September and October, the Company will further intensify its internal campaign to raise awareness and promote vaccination, reinforcing with all Collaborators the importance of immunization, and will spare no effort to reach the entire Aguilas Team while being protected.
“The creation of this new GOL Security requirement is a reinforcement and improvement of the other protocols established by the Company since the beginning of the pandemic, which are rigorous, reliable, certified and of proven efficacy. Awareness and understanding of the importance of vaccination are essential for the restoration of collective well-being, ”says Paulo Kakinoff, CEO of GOL.
"The vaccine is, today, our greatest asset to combat the disease in the country and guarantee the Safety of our Team, the Clients who choose to fly with GOL, our families and friends and the community as a whole," he reinforces Dr. Mário José Mello Martins, occupational physician and manager of People and Culture at GOL.
GOL was the first Brazilian company to involve all its Clients and Employees in the mandatory use of a protective mask on board, in April 2020. It is also the only airline that has the Albert Einstein Hospital seal that certifies the Customer's experience during the entire trip (the Einstein standard for the Covid-19 quality and safety seal), among other care and protection measures inside aircraft and at airports.
