The Executive Director and CEO of the Air Transport Association of Latin America and the Caribbean (ALTA) participated this Wednesday in the AirConnected 2021 event, which brings together the authorities of the Brazilian airline industry for three days, in person and online. and industry representatives.
Botelho moderated the panel “Leaders comment on the future”, in which Juliano Noman, President of Anac, Paulo Kakinoff, President of GOL, Alexandre Monteiro, President of RIOGaleão, and Rafael Echevarne, General Director of the International Council of Airports for America participated Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC). They talked about the prospects for air transport in Brazil in the coming years.
The panelists highlighted that vaccination has been a relevant factor in the increase in demand, after almost 2 years of impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the sector.
Another point discussed was the need for harmonization between the countries of visitor entry processes, as well as vaccination certificates.
All were also unanimous in stating that the new technologies that are now being used have been essential to streamline processes, ensure more safety for passengers and a smoother travel experience.
