PROMPERÚ promotes tourism services of regional entrepreneurs
Tourism businessmen from all over the country will have free access to content to promote their tourism services and products
With the aim of training on the use of social networks to boost sales of tourism and travel services, PROMPERÚ launched the course "Marketing and Advertising on Facebook and Instagram for tourism" taught free of charge through its Virtual classroom.
It is the first course under the MOOC ('massive open online course') modality that is dictated in Peru on topics related to the tourism sector. This type of methodology is already an internationally recognized trend for providing users with a free didactic experience under massive teaching and automated evaluations.
The course, which can be accessed by entering the link aulavirtualturismo.promperu.gob.pe, will bring businessmen in the sector such as travel agents, tour operators, tourism entrepreneurs, hotels and others, closer to two of the most used social networks in the market for the digital promotion and sale of services such as Facebook and Instagram.
As part of the topics to be discussed are the fundamentals of marketing and advertising on social networks, the writing of effective ads, audience creation, audience segmentation, among others. Finally, the participants who pass the course will be able to download a certificate in the name of PROMPERÚ.
PROMPERÚ will summon and invite the largest number of participants from the regions through the tourist associations and regional authorities of the sector. The next MOOC course will be enabled from November and will revolve around the development of promotional campaigns by email marketing.
The Virtual Tourism Classroom is a free service provided by PROMPERÚ with the purpose of continuously training tourism MSMEs, entrepreneurs, tourism offices, students, teachers, startups and those interested in venturing into the tourism sector.
Among the content that can be accessed, upon registration, are topics such as business intelligence, digital marketing, sales, online tools, innovation, among others.
This platform is the first government initiative for specialized online education and training in the sector and was launched in May of this year. To date, it has more than 60 training modules and more than 5,000 registered users from all over Peru.
