100 event organizers from Mexico, the United States and Latin America will learn about the benefits that the region offers for the MICE segment


With the intention of reinforcing Meeting Tourism in the Mexican Caribbean, MPI Mexican Caribbean Chapter announced the event "VIVE MICE" in which more than 100 "Meeting Planners" (event organizers) from Mexico (DCMX, GDL, MTY, Mérida, León and Veracruz), the United States and Latin America, as well as "corporate clients" generators of groups and weddings, so that they know why the Mexican Caribbean is the ideal destination for the Meeting and Romance Tourism segment.
 
The event, which is intended to be held every year from 2021, will begin in Mexico City on October 7, with the concept of "The Mexican Caribbean takes Mexico City" where to continue promoting health prevention protocols , two simultaneous face-to-face events will be held in different locations, consisting of cocktails for the promotion and networking of corporate “Meeting Planners”, incentive houses, production houses, convention professionals and all those who make up the value chain of this segment. In addition, to integrate elements of technology, even as an alternative for holding events,

Once the participants are in the Mexican Caribbean, there is an itinerary to visit newly opened hotels in Cancun, tours in 4 different attractions: Río Secreto, Cenote Zapote, Selvática and a catamaran ride, as well as some cocktails and dinners in In addition, the program consists of Inspection visits to hotels that have recently opened and / or that have had remodeling or improvements in their facilities, independent locations for events and weddings, visits to entertainment attractions that enrich the options with the that this destination counts for the segment "MICE" and Romance.
 
The support and collaboration of the participants is essential for the realization of this event, the transfer is contemplated every day, and thanks to 10 hotels of the most emblematic brands of the destination, the 100 participants will stay in some hotels such as: Atelier of Hotels, Hard Rock Cancun, Paradisus Cancun, Residence Inn Cancun, Grand Oasis Cancun, Palace Resorts, among others.
 
Present at the virtual press conference were: Darío Flota Ocampo, general director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council; Valeria Serrano, founding president of MPI Mexican Caribbean Chapter and member of the organizing committee Vive MICE 2021; Rocío González, president 2021-2022 MPI Mexican Caribbean Chapter; Vicente Madrigal, president of the organizing committee of the VIVE MICE 2021 event; Lorena Armengual, director of the VIVE MICE 2021 project and Flor López de Jáuregui, coordinator of the Golf Tournament, sales and marketing.
