Open hotel trade platform revolutionizes direct bookings through new agreements with Hotels Network, 123compare.me and Sojern
SiteMinder has partnered with the travel industry's digital marketing leaders to open up the full spectrum of direct booking opportunities for their 32,000+ hotel clients. These partnerships are part of Plug-in Apps, an extension of SiteMinder's booking engine that puts digital marketing in the hands of hoteliers for the first time and allows them to build their own technology chain.
Plug-in Apps encompasses the best specialized applications in price comparison, remarketing activities, chatbots, loyalty schemes, upselling and user reviews, including companies based in Spain such as Hotels Network, 123compare.me and Sojern. Its integration, which follows a 33% growth in direct bookings made through the SiteMinder hotel trade platform during the first half of this year compared to 2019 figures, will help hotels improve the experience of your guests during the booking process, and to drive conversions.
The SiteMinder Booking Engine already produces a 5,600% return on investment globally.
"At THN, we believe that hotels can greatly benefit from having access to integrated hotel technology, allowing them to move away from fragmented systems and work more efficiently," says Juanjo Rodriguez, CEO of The Hotels Network, which uses the price comparisons, valuations and machine learning to predict internet user behavior and then create personalized messages and offers. "Through our integration with SiteMinder, hoteliers can now easily access our free BenchDirect solution to benchmark their direct channel performance, as well as our innovative personalization technology to drive more direct revenue."
"In the US and Europe, travel has returned strongly from its worst moments during the pandemic and we see a similar trend starting in key markets such as Latin America," says Noreen Henry, Chief Revenue Officer of Sojern, a digital marketing provider based in artificial intelligence and traveler intent data. “Now is the time for hotels to 'ride the wave' of recovery using real-time travel data and multi-channel marketing designed to convert potential consumers into guests. By integrating Sojern's world-class programmatic advertising solutions with SiteMinder, hotels can easily reach travelers looking for a place to stay, drive them to book directly, and then track and measure their results. "
SiteMinder's Changing Traveler Report 2021 revealed that 32.68% of Spanish travelers expect to organize their next trip directly with their place of accommodation, compared to 22.28% in 2020. In addition, almost 4 out of 5 domestic travelers are very supporters (8.11%) or supporters (52.03%) that hotels use their personal data to improve their stay, compared to 19.81% who are indifferent.
"Direct bookings appeal to guests and hotels alike," says Inga Latham, Chief Product Officer at SiteMinder. "Through Plug-in Apps, hotels can now use the most relevant technological solutions, which offer the best return on investment and meet the expectations of their guests, minimize obstacles in the reservation process and provide efficiency, without having they have to worry about how they will integrate with their current systems. Most importantly, these solutions offer hotels greater revenue potential and more control over the guest experience. "
The addition of Plug-in apps to the SiteMinder platform increases the size of the SiteMinder partner ecosystem to more than 1,350, encompassing distribution channels, hotel management systems, hotel applications and hotel consultancies.
