Meliá confirms the recovery trend in the 3rd quarter, increasing its revenues (+ 161.7%) and its Ebitda (+ 329.1%) compared to the same period in 2020 thanks to the optimization of rates and strict cost control , and its digital capacity that compensated for the still irregular evolution of the occupation.
The Net Result improved by + 64.6% until September. The company once again generated positive cash since June, consolidating the change in business trend in July.
Revenue progression, which practically doubled in Q2 compared to Q1, and doubled again in Q3, reflects the evolution of demand as we move past the pandemic and restrictions.
Average occupancy continues to improve every week, although it is still far from the 2019 occupations.
Spanish holiday destinations, with a priority segmentation of domestic markets, and the Caribbean have already recovered levels similar to those of 2019.
Leadership in the vacation and bleisure segments - which performed better than urban - and its positioning in the premium segment also boosted the group's results.
