Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos generated a spill of more than 144 million pesos
The event reached a virtual attendance of 33,195 people, which represented 25.5 percent more than the previous year
The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and the governor of the state of Hidalgo, Omar Fayad Meneses, announced the results of the third edition of the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos, which generated an estimated economic benefit of 144 million 112 thousand pesos, which represented 15 percent more compared to the previous edition.
Both officials reported that through the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos digital platform, which was carried out in virtual format, a virtual attendance of 33,195 people was reached, which represented 25.5 percent more than the previous year, which they totaled 370 thousand 740 interactions in the contents of said digital ecosystem.
They added that, as a result of the promotional campaign of the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos through social networks, more than a million interactions were achieved through the hashtag: # tianguispueblosmágicos.
In addition to the above, there was also the participation of the public and buyers from 37 countries, higher than the record of 30 nations registered in the previous edition of the event.
They indicated that, from October 29 to 31, 41,175 business appointments were reached, which represented 32 percent more than in the second edition. Meanwhile, the handicrafts pavilion managed to bring together 480 artisans, who offered their products online for unlimited purchases and to the whole world.
Likewise, through the delivery of 97 lectures and conferences by specialists in various subjects, 9,250 people were attended in the academic sessions, which obtained recognition with curricular value.
They announced that it was through the innovative platform: tianguispueblosmagicos.mx that it was possible to have the participation of the 32 states, the 132 Magical Towns of the country and Qatar, as the guest of honor.
In its formation, the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos had 8 pavilions corresponding to the Pueblos Mágicos, made up of virtual stands of the 132 locations, the Qatar stand, the Pachuca stand and the Mexico City stand; as well as the business pavilions, strategic allies, gastronomy, alternative and traditional medicine, and the auditorium for Academic Days; in addition to Hidalgo Mágico and that of the Government of Hidalgo.
Secretary Torruco Marqués recognized the support and coordination of Governor Fayad Meneses, and Eduardo Javier Baños Gómez, Secretary of Tourism of the entity, so that it was possible to have a successful edition.
They also thanked the municipal presidents, Citizen Committees, Chambers and Tourist Associations, businessmen, artisans, traditional cooks, chefs, tourism service providers, speakers and lecturers, the work teams and all the public in general for their participation.
Finally, they pointed out that the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos will be permanently online for one year, a period in which cultural, gastronomic, business, academic and promotional activities will be scheduled. For this reason, they invited the general public to continue visiting the platform.
