Indigo Partners orders 255 A321neo Family aircraft
Wizz Air will receive 75 A321neo and 27 A321XLR, Frontier 91 A321neo, Volaris 39 A321neo and JetSMART 21 A321neo and 2 A321XLR
Indigo Partners, made up of Wizz Air (Hungary), Frontier (United States), Volaris (Mexico) and JetSMART (Chile, Argentina), have announced an order for another 255 aircraft of the A321neo Family under a joint agreement of the aforementioned holding company. The firm order has been signed at the Dubai air show.
This order brings the total aircraft ordered by Indigo Partners airlines to 1,145 A320 Family units. The aircraft ordered are a mix of the A321neo and A321XLR models, and will be delivered to the various airlines as follows:
Wizz Air: 102 aircraft (75 A321neo + 27 A321XLR)
Frontier: 91 aircraft (A321neo)
Volaris: 39 aircraft (A321neo)
JetSMART: 23 aircraft (21 A321neo + 2 A321XLR)
In addition to this order, Volaris and JetSMART will exchange 38 of the A320neo that have orders for aircraft of the A321neo model.
As of the end of October 2021, the A320neo Family had totaled more than 7,550 orders from 122 customers since its launch in 2010. Since its entry into service five years ago, Airbus has delivered more than 1,950 A320neo Family aircraft, which have contributed saving 10 million tons of CO2.
