Argentina strengthens its commitment to LGBT + tourism in the 13th Gnetwork360
The Executive Secretary of INPROTUR Ricardo Sosa, participated yesterday in the opening of the event that ends today
The 13th Gnetwork360 Conference has been held in the City of Buenos Aires for 13 years and brings together more than 1800 attendees during the four days. The activities include workshops, presentations, conferences, business rounds, cocktails and networking sessions and various forums.
Also participating in the opening event were Pablo de Luca, president of the Argentine Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CCGLAR), the main person in charge of promoting and supporting the development of the LGBTIQ community's businesses both internationally and nationally; Gustavo Hani, president of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT); Deena Fidas, Executive Director of Out & Equal, and Gonzalo Robredo, President of the Tourism Entity of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
Pablo de Luca stated: “Today we live an unforgettable day. These almost 20 months that passed were very hard, but we took advantage of them very well because through the Federal LGBT Tourism Program we traveled the 23 provinces and the City of Buenos Aires virtually, and then each of the six regions of Argentina in a virtual way. face-to-face ”.
In turn, Deena Fidas said: "This year we have been proud to begin an official partnership with CAT to promote the next level of LGBTIQ inclusion in all Argentine companies."
Meanwhile, Gustavo Hani said: “The road traveled has not been easy and it is still challenging. The 13th edition of this international meeting tells us about continuing to overcome barriers, avoiding prejudices and strengthening diversity in our industry ”.
“I want to thank you all for being here today. We need to travel, urban tourism is an encounter between cultural expressions and it is transformative. We are the ones who travel and when we return home we return transformed by that encounter, ”said Gonzalo Robredo.
For his part, Ricardo Sosa referred to the work carried out by INPROTUR during the almost two years of the pandemic: “The work we have been doing in this pandemic is very important. With virtual and face-to-face workshops, zoom, we work on the federalization of LGBT + tourism with the private and public sector, the provinces and the municipalities ”.
In addition, he pointed out: "We, from INPROTUR, have been accompanying the work that has been carried out for a decade, work that has deserved international recognition and that we logically support and strengthen."
“We come here to ratify our commitment and support. Shortly we will be officially presenting the LGBT + International Marketing Plan and the first LGBT + Tourism Economic Observatory, to continue consolidating a growing space ”, informed the Executive Secretary.
INPROTUR continues to work to consolidate Argentina's strong commitment to the national and international LGBT + community as part of a state policy to guarantee greater equality and rights to society as a whole.
