Viva Aerobus receives recognition from SECTUR at Tianguis Turístico
The Secretary of Tourism Miguel Torruco Marqués presented the airline with recognition for its contribution to air connectivity in the country during its 15 years of operations
Within the framework of the 45th edition of the Tianguis Turístico 2021, the Secretary of Tourism Miguel Torruco Marqués presented Viva Aerobus with recognition for its contribution to the air connectivity of Mexico in its 15-year history, which is celebrated on November 30.
In its social networks, the Ministry of Tourism also congratulated Viva Aerobus for its participation as an official sponsor of the Tianguis Turístico for the benefit of the rebirth of this sector.
“We thank the Secretary of Tourism for this recognition, we are very proud to celebrate 15 years as the airline that has transformed the way of traveling by plane, having turned it into a truly accessible means of transport. In addition, we are a key link in the tourism value chain. Our low prices allow travelers to save on their transportation and take advantage of more attractions in each place they visit for the benefit of the local economic spill ”, said Walfred Castro, Communication Director of Viva Aerobus.
The airline celebrates its 15th anniversary at a time of historic growth and leadership, having carried more than 80 million passengers since its founding in 2006 and showing a strong revival in demand in a pandemic context. Viva Aerobus was positioned in March 2021 as the first Mexican airline to exceed pre-COVID-19 passenger traffic, a trend that has maintained in the last eight months with more than one million passengers per month. This support that travelers have provided to the company is the result of a strategy that is articulated in five service axes: safety, low prices, modern fleet, operational efficiency, flexibility and customer focus.
In order to respond and attend to this passenger preference, the airline maintains its growth plans firm. Viva Aerobus will conclude this 2021 with 55 Airbus aircraft, being the youngest fleet in Mexico, considering the four aircraft it will receive in the last two months of the year. The airline also recalls that this year it has already launched 11 new routes, 5 national and 6 international.
"We appreciate the trust of all authorities, business partners, suppliers and, above all, passengers, who have allowed us to become, in such a short time, an airline with one of the highest growth rates in the world", concluded Walfred Castro.
