The Dolphin Company is participating in Tianguis Turístico to promote its complexes and publicize main news. In order to get to know the company's news, we interviewed its Corporate Marketing Manager Addy Gamboa. We share their responses below:
How was the company born and how many parks do you have?
It was founded in 1994 and today offers unique experiences in the world with marine mammals, educating millions of people each year about the importance of these species and caring for the environment. With more than 30 parks and habitats in 8 countries and 3 continents, including the United States, Italy and Mexico. It operates under different brands such as Dolphin Discovery, Dolphin Cove, Zoomarine and Marineland.
The dolphin Company is a corporation with 32 dolphinariums and parks in 8 countries. We have dolphin habitats, water parks, natural parks. marine and we are also generators of experiences.
The firm has been in the market for 26 years, our main brand being Dolphin Discovery that was born in 1994 in Isla Mujeres. We are a proudly Mexican company, which has been able to expand to other important markets.
What kind of clients or markets do you bet on with your complexes?
We have parks that are family-oriented, but we also offer tours specifically for couples in Quintana Roo, it is a Spanish galleon that is in the Laguna and has a 3-course dinner accompanied by live music.
How do you handle the commercialization of the parks and experiences?
We work with operators under different schemes, also with receptive travel agencies, OTA's and independent travel agencies, depending on your needs. Some parks are more aimed at regional or local tourism and in those cases you can call our call center directly or visit our web pages and directly make your reservation there.
How has the expansion process been in the United States?
In the United States, we have GulfWorld that is in Panama City Beach, Dolphin Connection in Duck Key and Marineland that is in Saint Augustine, Florida. In addition, a few months ago the Miami Aquarium negotiation was completed and by the end of this year everything should be finalized to be able to operate it.
In the expansion plan, are there other countries that have a look?
We plan to continue this expansion in 2022, always with the focus on animal welfare and the experience of our visitors. Little by little we paddle revealing news.
