Air Europa will restart its flights between Madrid and Córdoba
The Spanish airline will offer four weekly frequencies from February
The Executive Secretary of INPROTUR, Ricardo Sosa, met in Brazil with the Manager of Air Europa in that country, Gonzalo Romero, where it was confirmed that the airline will restart its flights in the Madrid-Córdoba commercial air corridor, with a stopover in Asunción, from the February 2022.
In addition, during the meeting with the representative of Air Europa, it was highlighted that in this first stage the airline will resume its flights with four weekly flights, and it is expected that from March 2022 five weekly flights will be scheduled, based on to the new aircraft that the company will receive in a short time.
According to the information handled, there is an important demand, it is also estimated that during the year 2022 the frequencies with the pre-pandemic levels could recover, thus showing the rapid reactivation of the sector.
Regarding the meeting with Air Europa, Sosa mentioned that “it is an airline that has a great interest in Argentina and the decision to schedule flights demonstrates this, that is why we will continue working in this regard, with the guidelines of our Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens, to improve international air connectivity and the permanent challenge of recovering as quickly as possible the levels of the pre-pandemic and immediately begin to grow above those levels, because we are convinced of the potential that our country has as a tourist destination international. Decisions such as those taken by Air Europa show the confidence that Argentina generates for this commercial aviation sector".
