Paraíso launches its brand to promote its many attractions
With the slogan "Paradise, that's what we are", the second canton in the province of Cartago launches its brand with the aim of positioning its natural, cultural, gastronomic and recreational attractions nationally and internationally
In each of its corners, Paraíso de Cartago stands out for its natural beauty, its majestic mountains full of magical greenery due to its surrounding water richness, which allows the ideal habitat for a varied flora and fauna.
Those who baptized this paradise were perfectly right in the name of a place endowed with a wide historical and cultural wealth, a land full of customs and traditions in which each of its more than 64,000 inhabitants who proudly populate its 412 square kilometers surface area simply kept daily as a legacy.
Paraíso offers its visitors unrepeatable images in memory such as the landscapes of the Orosi Valley that can be observed from the height of its renowned viewpoints, Las Ruinas de Ujarrás, Tapantí National Park, Lake Cachí and its hydroelectric dam, without leaving aside from the colonial church of Orosi, as well as the Parque Recreativo La Expresión Laguna de Doña Ana, all in the midst of a biosecure environment for visitors.
Precisely, in this recreational park, this Tuesday morning the official launch event of the canton brand "Paraíso, that's what we are" was held, with the presence of local government authorities, ICT representatives and special guests.
“The launch of the Paraíso ¡Eso Somos! Brand seeks to position tourists, investors, businessmen and residents of the community that we have a canton that offers natural, cultural, religious, gastronomic, sports and recreational wonders so that everyone can spend Unforgettable moments and experiences in a place that literally becomes a paradise to visit ”, explained Carlos Ramírez, Mayor of Paraíso.
Ramirez added that "this brand represents the path, as well as the commitment that we must assume from the local government, chambers, businessmen and residents of the canton to work together and thus achieve job creation and prosperous development."
For his part, Alberto López, General Manager of the ICT, shared a heartfelt congratulations to the Paraíso canton for having a distinctive brand of the canton.
“This effort is complemented by the strategic actions we carry out from the ICT to promote Costa Rica as a sustainable, innovative and inclusive tourist destination. The new brand will allow the canton to continue improving its positioning, differentiation and generate competitive advantages that invite national and international tourists to visit all its natural, cultural, architectural and gastronomic beauties, as well as to know the warmth of the people who distinguish them, generating authentic experiences for travelers who want to get closer to this paradise ”, López concluded.
How did the canton brand "Paradise, we are all" come about?
Central axes stand out in the main logo of the canton brand, among which stand out the image of the Ruinas de Ujarrás, the iconic landmark of one of the oldest colonial churches in the country, as well as the reference of the chayote, one of the most outstanding export crops and the basis of Paraiso gastronomy. In addition, the green mountains, the water as a source of life, the endless natural wealth, the history and the diversity stand out.
According to data from the Municipality of Paraíso, the canton brand project emerged at the end of 2019 prior to the arrival of the pandemic and was executed with the joint and interdisciplinary work between the Paraíso Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Allied Affairs, the headquarters of the Atlántico University of Costa Rica (graphic design career) at its Paraíso and Turrialba campuses.
Likewise, the process had the consensual work and technical support of representatives of the Municipal Council, the Mayor's Office of the Municipality of Paraíso, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, the National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR) and the Chamber of Exporters of Chayote.
Finally, the slogan "Paradise, that's what we are" emphasizes that every corner of the canton is an undiscovered paradise full of contrasts, beautiful landscapes, with a wide cultural wealth and customs, an ideal place for tourism, business investment and the generation of opportunities.
