The Panamanian airline will begin operating in the new terminal from December 15


Copa Airlines announces the start of its flight operations at the Palmerola International Airport in Comayagua, which will serve the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, starting on December 15, 2021.

Currently, Copa Airlines operates from the Toncontín International Airport, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. However, the Airline permanently transfers its operations to the new Palmerola International Airport. This movement is in compliance with the provision published in Gazette No. 35,734 of October 1, 2021, which informs the official decision to move international and domestic commercial flight operations to the new airport for security reasons.

Also, since the move to this new headquarters was announced, Copa Airlines has been working closely with the Honduran aeronautical authorities and the airport administration to ensure the safe and efficient transition to the new airport. From this new infrastructure, Copa Airlines affirms its commitment to the development of the region, connecting Honduras with its extensive network of routes throughout the continent, through the Hub of the Americas®, at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama. "From this new airport, our passengers will continue to enjoy a pleasant and safe travel experience, while further allowing our airport staff to take advantage of the efficiencies of the new facilities," said Karen Nanne, Regional Commercial Manager for Central America and the Caribbean.

Copa Airlines will maintain the same schedule and frequencies of its current operation in Toncontin. Flight CM720 that leaves Panama City at 11:26 am and arrives at Palmerola International Airport that will serve Tegucigalpa at 12:22 pm, while the return will be made by flight CM719, with departure time at 1:52 pm and arrival in Panama at 4:50 pm, every day of the week.
