The agreement provides for offers of air tickets for tourists from Chile and Argentina traveling to Peru

With the aim of contributing to the reactivation of tourism, PROMPERÚ and SKY Airline signed a strategic alliance that will promote the promotion and commercialization of the destination Peru in the markets of Chile and Argentina, through joint advertising campaigns at the destination, based on an offer of air tickets with promotional prices, which will last until January 2022.

Among the strategic actions framed, a trip was made with recognized Chilean influencers for the promotion of Lima and Cusco. Likewise, SKY has recently been part of the 'Peru Week Argentina' promotional campaign, a two-week promotional campaign in which discounts were offered at Peruvian restaurants in Buenos Aires and on tour packages to Peru.

In the case of Chile, it seeks to boost demand for the Santiago - Lima, Lima - Santiago route. While, for Argentina, the new international route Buenos Aires - Lima, Lima - Buenos Aires is promoted. With this, it becomes the only airline with low cost rates for direct flights between the two cities, the company began operations on December 14 with the goal of transporting more than 5,800 passengers per month with 4 weekly frequencies at the beginning.

In addition, SKY offers 12 flights to the main national destinations increasing the offer and connectivity to: Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Iquitos, Juliaca, Piura, Pucallpa, Puerto Maldonado, Tarapoto, Trujillo and Tumbes, favoring the mobility of both the national tourist and Foreign.

It is worth mentioning that SKY is an airline with more than 14 years selling the tourist destination Peru. In 2019, it was consolidated as the 2nd most relevant airline in Chile with a 26% share in the domestic market. In addition, it was considered the Best Low Cost in South America in 2018 and 2019, according to SKYRAX. This year, it has been recognized by CH-Aviation as the airline with the most modern fleet in the region and the second in the world.

Chile has historically been the first emitter of tourists to Peru. In 2019, 1,196,234 Chilean tourists arrived in the country, which showed a growth of 3% compared to 2018.

From January to October 2021, 19,092 Chilean tourists arrived in Peru, a situation that is expected to be overcome with the reopening of the land border, strategic alliances with the private sector and international promotional campaigns such as 'Wake up in Peru'. The main destinations chosen by Chileans are Lima, Cusco, Piura, Ica and Arequipa.

In the case of Argentina, in 2019 it ranked as the fourth issuing market for trips to Peru in South America and the fifth worldwide.

During January-October of this year, a total of 283,005 international tourist arrivals to Peru were registered, 3% of them were from Argentina, becoming the third country of origin of tourists to Peru from South America. By 2022, a 13% recovery is expected in Argentine tourist arrivals compared to the current year. The main destinations visited by Argentines are: Lima, Cusco, Ica, Piura, Arequipa, Puno, La Libertad and Ancash.
