The Caribbean island stand will promote attractions and elements of Puerto Rican culture

Puerto Rico will once again be present at the next edition of FITUR, the first major annual event of the tourism industry, which will be held from January 19 to 23, 2022 at IFEMA MADRID, with the firm intention of positioning itself as the ideal destination to do business, strengthen ministerial and commercial relations with Latin America and Latin America, in addition to promoting tourism for visitors, groups and conventions.  

“The presence of Puerto Rico in FITUR is vital, since this tourism fair of products and destinations is one of the largest that takes place annually and, in turn, provides direct access to representatives and 'decision makers', which we it provides an excellent opportunity to promote the development of new routes and an increase in visits from the European continent and other international countries ”, according to the executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Carlos Mercado Santiago.

The Puerto Rico Tourism Company (CTPR) will have an attractive stand, enhanced by the diverse range of vibrant colors that distinguish the Caribbean. This will have modern and comfortable areas to carry out group and individual meetings. In addition, it will show the attractions of the Island, elements of Puerto Rican culture, its history, gastronomy and landscapes, reflected in the decoration and projected through colorful screens located at various points in the exhibitor.

Multiple attractions
The stand will honor the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the founding of Old San Juan, the capital city of Puerto Rico, represented by the simulation of the beautiful cobbled streets of the walled city. While it will also exalt our attractions, such as the largest and most technological Convention Center in the Caribbean and the new entertainment center, the T-Mobile District, which has concert halls, restaurants, hotels, urban "Ziplines" and the most modern Caribbean movie theaters. Similarly, hotel projects will be present presenting their varied specialized offer and sharing plans for future high-impact developments for the region.
In addition, in terms of entertainment, Puerto Rico will have the activation of Puerto Rican music from the plenary group Plenaría del Exilio; and typical Puerto Rican food from the restaurant el Casal de Pepa; There will also be a tasting of the Rums of Puerto Rico program; Puerto Rican coffee tasting; salsa classes and domino tournament for attendees.
