Avianca announced that it will connect Quito with San José de Costa Rica, starting in March, with 3 direct weekly frequencies. The airline will have almost 3,000 seats per month that are already available for purchase

From next March 28, the airline will begin operating flights between Ecuador and Costa Rica. In order to strengthen connectivity from Ecuador, Avianca will open this new route that will contribute to the reactivation of tourism between the two countries.

In a company statement, David Alemán, general director of Avianca highlighted: “Ecuador is becoming more and more relevant on the connectivity map and from Avianca we want to be a fundamental part of this growth that ends up being a great contribution to tourism and the economy of the country ”.

It should be noted that currently the tickets for this route are available for sale in the mobile application, the website, the physical points of sale of the airline or through travel agencies.

This good news is the result of the work carried out between the Tourism and Transportation and Public Works portfolios in conjunction with the private sector to improve and increase the country's connectivity with the world. In this way, Ecuador is positioned as a more attractive tourist destination for travelers from all over the world to visit it.

The Government of the Meeting maintains its commitment to reactivate and strengthen the national tourism industry.
