Marriott International hotels in Costa Rica are launching new family experiences adapted to the travel trends that will gain strength during 2022, mainly motivated by travelers who are more aware of the impact of their activities on the destination to be visited, as well as by the desire to connect with the local culture.

In this sense, Family Trips and Trips with Outdoor Activities are positioned, two trends that will give something to talk about this year, and for which, Costa Rica is emerging as the ideal destination.

According to the report The State of Tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean led by Marriott International (September 2021), 81% of those surveyed said they were ready to plan their vacations for 2022. Likewise, 40% said they would travel in family and 64% who travel for outdoor activities.

In this scenario, El Mangroove, Autograph Collection, launched a beachfront family area called SI&P with four new pools, with cabanas and sun loungers, and El Shack, which has a menu of signature cocktails and mocktails made with Costa Rican ingredients and infusions. of inspiration, such as pipe water, chinchiví, chicha, chicheme, dulce de leche and Cacique. The Shack also offers salads, ceviches, tiraditos, sashimi, sushi rolls and nigiris, which are according to the catch of the day.

Continuing with the trends, another one that will gain strength is the Historical and Cultural Tours. After periods of restriction and leisurely travel, being able to connect with the culture of the destination to visit is a true privilege.

69% of travelers want to explore the culture of the destination they visit and 65% pay special attention to local cuisine, according to the Marriott International survey.

Taking this into account Hotel Punta Islita, Autograph Collection launched Experience The Experience, a proposal focused on providing travelers with an enriching experience during their stay and without worries, through which they can connect with the nature and culture of Nicoya, particularly with the community of Punta Islita.
