With a delegation headed by Fernando Fondevila, general director of PROMTUR, the destination will highlight its main attributes for the conscious tourist

With a fascinating history, traditions, heritage and natural beauty, Panama will be present at WTM Latin America 2022. The official representative of the destination, the general director of PROMTUR Panama, Fernando Fondevila, will be in São Paulo between the 5th and 7th. April, for the 10th edition of the event held at Expo Center Norte. At stand H20, the executive will be accompanied by the Sales director, Eugenia Powell and the Sales/Leisure manager, Luciana Kramer. The delegation will still be formed by more than ten important suppliers of the Panamanian tourism industry.

The objective is to be present at the main international event of the travel and tourism industry in Latin America, with the premise of promoting a responsible and sustainable destination with the tourist trade and the national press. In addition, of course, to analyzing global trends in the sector, as well as strengthening relations with the Brazilian market and boosting business generation with relevant and qualified buyers.

“Brazil is a market with great potential for Panama, as tourists are normally able to travel for a long time and tend to enjoy a destination in its entirety”, highlights Fernando Fondevila.

During the three days of the event, visitors will have the opportunity to know a little more about the main attractions of Panama, which has direct Copa Airlines flights from six Brazilian cities (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte , Porto Alegre and Manaus), in addition to the main cities in Latin America. The intention is to show that Panama is not just the Center of the Americas, but an easily accessible destination -- with multiple attractions within short distances. But always focused on sustainability.
