Undersecretary of Tourism of Chile lands in Brazil for WTM Latin America
On her first international trip in office, Verónica Kunze talks about the challenges entrusted to her by President Gabriel Boric and the importance of the Brazilian tourist
Less than a month after taking office as Undersecretary of Tourism of Chile, Verónica Kunze Neubauer, or Verónica Kunze, as she is known, arrives in Brazil next Tuesday (5) to participate in the WTM Latin America, which takes place between 5 and April 7. , in the blue and white pavilions of the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
This is his first international trip as a representative of the new Government and, during his brief stay in the country, he will speak about the challenges of the industry and the importance of Brazilian tourists in the destination. “We are working with clear objectives. As a government, our first task is to reactivate the tourism industry, a socially and economically strategic activity in our country”, he says.
The Undersecretariat anticipates that one of the lines of work will be the development of sustainable tourism based on the protection of natural, landscape and human resources involved in the industry. It also reinforces the importance of Brazilian women and tourists in the industry: today, Chile employs around 250,000 women in tourism. “Brazil remains one of the most strategic source countries for us,” she says.
