Barbados promotes the destination at WTM Latin America
The Caribbean country has had an outstanding participation in the event held from April 5 to 7 in São Paulo
Barbados continues to make significant international promotional efforts to boost tourist arrivals. Last week, the BTMI set up an important stand at WTM Latin America, one of the most important fairs in Latin America that took place from April 5 to 7 at the Center Norte in São Paulo. The delegation was led by the Senator and Minister of Tourism and International Transport of the Caribbean country, Lisa Cummins. Along with the official, the CEO of BTMI Jens Thraenhart, the president of the BTMI Shelly Williams and the director of the BTMI for Latin America and the Caribbean Corey Garrett were present.
Cummins highlighted that from mid-June COPA Airlines will begin flying again to Barbados from the Hub of the Americas (Panama), in this way they hope to recover a large part of the demand from source markets in the region and logically from Brazil. In this sense, the official highlighted the ties between the South American giant and the Caribbean country due to their origin and culture.
Cummins affirmed that Latin America is a very important market for Barbados and that the arrival of Latin tourists will be a great contribution to the recovery of the tourism sector in her country.
