Building on the tremendous success from previous years, Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort, located in Freeport, Grand Bahama is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2022 Grand Bahama Dive Week.

From May 22 to 28, 2022, Grand Bahama Dive Week takes over the island with a five-day gathering of Bahamas Dive Ambassadors, open water-certified divers and local dive operators. This event features customized two-tank dives of major dive sites, including wrecks and reefs, descents on underwater walls and one of the world’s most exciting shark encounter experiences at legendary Tiger Beach plus plenty of hours of fun and relaxation at the end of each day.

“We are excited to welcome guests back to our Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort, an enchanting destination for this unique week for diving lovers that’s just minutes away from the United States, with convenient ferries out of Fort Lauderdale,” said Amanda Santana, Viva Wyndham’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We are the only true all-inclusive family resort on Grand Bahama Island with loads of amenities and land and water sports, so it’s ideal for divers and the whole family.”

With 26 acres of secluded beachfront property, Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach is the perfect place to stretch out and relax while enjoying some well-deserved sunshine and vitamin sea. With over 4,000 feet of pristine white-sand beaches and more than 70 percent of rooms having ocean views, the resort also features a wide variety of amenities, including an oceanfront pool, jacuzzi, sauna, multiple bars and restaurants, as well as a spa, gym, theater and full childcare amenities. There’s even a kiddy splash park.

2022 Grand Bahama Dive Week is sponsored by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investment & Aviation, the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board, Reef Oasis Diver, and Bahamasair.
