Meliá presents its new TikTok channel
The hotel company debuts on the platform with the special collaboration of influencer Marcos Toscani
Luxury experiences, dream destinations and the best gastronomic proposals one can imagine. This will be the guiding thread of the content that Meliá Hotels International will share on its new TikTok channel @meliahotels, the short-form mobile video platform that has the youngest user base on social networks, mainly generation Z.
With the collaboration of content creator Marcos Toscani @expertoenhoteles, dedicated exclusively to the luxury hotel segment and with almost 400,000 followers on the platform, Meliá has launched on TikTok with a strategic focus on its luxury products. Hotels such as Gran Meliá Iguazú (Argentina), Paradisus Grand Cana (Dominican Republic) or ME Cabo (Mexico) are the first hotels chosen by the expert, to which new emblematic destinations will be added. Toscani thus becomes the Meliá TikTok Luxury Expert, the company's first ambassador on TikTok, after in 2020 he was also chosen Visit Mexico's first luxury tourism ambassador and his podcast "Hotel Expert" became in the most listened to about hotels in Spanish weeks after its launch.

With its entry on TikTok, Meliá has become one of the pioneering companies in the sector worldwide with a strategic presence in this channel. To ensure that it understands the motivations and expectations of this new audience, Meliá carried out collaborative work with various universities around the world, through the World Tourism Organization Student League, which has been key in the process creative and strategy design.
TikTok, the mobile app born in China, offers millions of users around the world the opportunity to share videos. It currently has more than a billion users in 150 countries around the world and 75 languages. In the case of Meliá, and before opening their channel on TikTok, they already had more than 12 million views.
