The website consolidates, updates and allows you to find official information on the tourism sector in a single place in a detailed and reliable manner

The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, María Ximena Lombana Villalba, officially presented the Colombian tourist information portal #PortuColombia, within the framework of the 36th National Meeting of Tourism Authorities, held on May 5 and 6 at the convention center Agora, Bogota.

It is a website that consolidates, updates and allows official information on the tourism sector to be found in a single place in a detailed and reliable manner. The tool was designed to meet the information needs of government entities, tourism service providers, academia, tourists and the public interested in the subject.

Minister Lombana highlighted this valuable tool "where the main indicators of sectoral information such as non-resident visitors, air flow, balance of payments, occupancy rate, and other additional ones can be consulted."

The official added that with this portal “we want to facilitate the decision-making of all the agents of the tourism chain, making the information available at different levels of disaggregation, and facilitating its analysis and visualization. This is just the beginning,” she noted.

The information on the portal includes the guidelines and recommendations for the processing of information made by the UNWTO, the World Bank and DANE and conforms to the guidelines of the National Statistical System according to decree 2404 of 2019. Its design and execution was accompanied by in technical and methodological guidelines of institutions such as the Ministry of ICT and DANE.
