Copa Airlines restarts operations in St. Maarten and Barbados
The Panamanian airline will fly from June to two of the most paradisiacal destinations in the Caribbean
Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S. A and a member of the Star Alliance global airline network, announces that starting in June it will fly again from the Hub of the Americas®, located at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama , to two of the most sought after destinations in the Caribbean: St. Maarten and Barbados.
Both destinations will be incorporated into the growing network of the Hub of the Americas® with two weekly frequencies, which will take travelers to discover or rediscover some of the wonderful places that the Antilles have.
The Copa Airlines route to St. Maarten will be reactivated on Wednesday, June 1, with flights to and from this island every Wednesday and Friday. The air connection with Barbados will be enabled from Wednesday June 15 and there will also be two weekly flights to this destination: on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
In addition to the characteristic beaches with crystal clear waters and white sands, both islands have characteristics that transform them into first-line tourist destinations.
In addition to its postcard landscapes, St. Maarten has the curiosity of hosting the only land border of the European Union located on another continent: the northern part of the island belongs to France, while the southern region is an autonomous country that is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Throughout its territory, the natural attractions, the hotels and the entertainment take about two million people to visit it every year.
Barbados, on the other hand, is characterized by its many pink and white sand beaches and clear waters. In addition, it is a destination recognized for its nightlife attractions, its large duty-free shopping areas and important areas of contact with nature. In both destinations, the stories of pirates, conquerors and the different cultures that settled in them can be the protagonist of unusual days.
The reincorporation of these routes to the network of destinations of Copa Airlines contributes to closer ties between the peoples of our continents, also favoring the growing recovery of the tourism sector throughout the region.
