The Mexican Center for Philanthropy and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility have awarded the company the ESR 2022 Distinction
Meliá Hotels International once again stands out for its performance and commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) matters and, on this occasion, obtains the certification as a Socially Responsible Company in Mexico. Awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility, the ESR Distinction is a highly prestigious certification in Mexico and Latin America, due to its careful evaluation process based on evidence.
The ESR Distinction thus recognizes the efforts of companies to voluntarily and publicly assume their commitment to responsible management in Mexico, with the aim of achieving continuous improvement and making it part of their culture and business strategy. Melia Hotels International, which is currently the second most sustainable hotel company in the world - first in Europe - according to the Corporate Sustainability Assessment of S&P Global 2022, continues to strengthen its position as a responsible company not only globally, but also in the different destinations in which That operates.
This recognition endorses Meliá's strategic drive in integrating ESG management criteria into the business.
