With MICE as the focus, officials from the Americas met yesterday in Panama City to share their experiences in order to discuss and influence the future direction of the sector.
The second day of FIEXPO Latin America yesterday had as its main course the Political Forum held at the JW Marriott in Panama City. The ninth edition of the event has had a great convocation, with the presence of high-ranking officials in each of the countries and authorities from different organizations at the international level, discussing the most burning issues to recover the MICE segment severely damaged by the crisis. sanitary.
Focusing on the impact of the meetings industry on the ecosystems of destinations, it brings together Ministers, Secretaries of Tourism, Governors, Mayors, Parliamentarians who are members of Tourism Commissions, Directors of Tourism at the national, provincial or departmental level, Mayors, Politicians in general involved directly or indirectly with the tourism sector, directors or presidents of Convention Bureaus and authorities of the most important international associations in the sector that show the power of the MICE industry and their role as key players.
During the Political Forum, the actions that are being carried out to develop this industry were explained, the authorities present had the chance to share their own experiences in order to debate and influence the future direction of the events of the MICE segment.
At the end of the event, a recognition was given to the Minister of the National Secretariat of Tourism of Paraguay, Sofia Montiel. A very emotional moment in the day.
