The itinerary includes stages of the Brazil Experience in Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Toronto

Embratur intensifies its actions to promote Brazil in the United States starting this Tuesday (21). In addition to the advertising campaign “Visit Brazil. The Wow Experience”, which has been active since May 24, the Agency will promote a cycle of roadshows in the cities of Chicago, New York, Miami and Los Angeles, as well as Toronto, Canada.

The objective is to expand the commercialization of Brazilian tourist products and destinations abroad, especially in strategic markets such as North America. According to a recent survey by Embratur's Market and Competitive Intelligence Management with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), nearly 72,000 tickets have already been purchased from the United States for tourists to disembark in Brazilian cities between June and July 2022.

It is worth mentioning the importance of the North American market in tourism in Brazil. In total, 590,000 American visitors were in Brazil in 2019, with the United States being the second largest source of international tourists to the country, behind only Argentina. Since June 2019, there is a visa exemption for the entry of Americans and Canadians in Brazil, an issue that will be reinforced during the roadshows as a facilitator of tourist access.

Before the rounds in North America, Embratur promoted activities in Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. “The roadshows promoted by Embratur have been a successful interaction between national and international businesses. The meetings, training sessions and business roundtables are being used very well, which will surely contribute to the increase in tourism in Brazil”, says the president of Embratur, Silvio Nascimento.

The Brazilian Experience in North America is divided into two stages. From Tuesday (21) to Thursday (23), activities will be carried out with tour operators, agents, entities and associations in Toronto, Chicago and New York, with 12 co-exhibiting partners of Embratur. On the 28th and 29th, the roadshow will be held in the cities of Miami and Los Angeles, with 16 co-exhibitors from Brazil. More than 600 business meetings with US agents and operators are expected.

In addition to training on national destinations, the agenda includes business roundtables between local businesses and Brazilian businesses, there is space for interaction between foreign and national companies to advance possible business and networking opportunities.

The Embratur roadshows in Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia, between June 6 and 16, trained more than 650 professionals in the sector. The events ended with more than a thousand business roundtables, which represents around 10,000 commercial contacts made between the participating Brazilian and foreign operators.
