Mercosur authorities reaffirm their conviction to offer the region as an integrated product
The head of Senatur, host of the meeting, emphasized that the reactivation must go hand in hand with connectivity, not only in the operation of uniting new destinations, but also in the challenge of increasing current frequencies
The highest leaders of Mercosur Tourism reaffirmed today the conviction of working on tourism promotion as a block, as an integrated product but giving special emphasis to connectivity for the reactivation of post-pandemic tourism.
It was during the XXVI Meeting of Ministers of Tourism of Mercosur that brought together in our country, Matías Lammens, from Argentina; Tabare Viera Duarte, from Uruguay; Sofia Montiel de Afara, from Paraguay; from Chile, Vice Minister Verónica Kunze; of Brazil, the Héctor Magagalhaes de Sousa Investment Attraction Seminar and virtually.
The head of Senatur, host of the meeting in the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency held by Paraguay, emphasized that the reactivation of tourism must go hand in hand with connectivity, not only in the operation of uniting new destinations, but also in the challenge of increase current frequencies.
"It is transcendental from the tourism point of view to be able to unite our region through facilitation, and in addition to traditional companies, increase low cost frequencies in order to offer advantages and opportunities for all," Minister Montiel stressed.
During the summit, which was held at the Bourbon Conmebol Hotel in Luque, it was also agreed to develop and advance the Bioceanic Route, which unites several countries, a joint effort with a view to improving tourism services and infrastructure.
Another topic of interest for Mercosur is the multi-destination Jesuit Route that unites 5 countries, and in this regard they approved marking a roadmap so that they can see us consolidated and the Jesuit legacy be recognized internationally.
The ministers agreed that these meetings serve to learn about successful experiences of the member countries of Mercosur, and consolidate all the flow that we need to be activated, not only in our country, but throughout the region.
