The inaugural flight departed with an occupancy of 90%. So far this year, the company added 4 domestic destinations
Flybondi inaugurated its flights to the city of Puerto Madryn, province of Chubut, which will have 3 weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. In this way, the company adds its 15th national destination and strengthens its presence in the south of the country.
The first flight to El Tehuelche Airport in Puerto Madryn took off at 11:40 a.m. from Jorge Newbery International Airport and landed at 1:31 p.m. For its part, the flight from the coastal city to Buenos Aires left at 2:36 p.m. and will arrive at approximately 4:25 p.m.
In addition, once the flight arrived, an event was held with the participation of: Gustavo Sastre, Mayor of Puerto Madryn, Marcos Grosso, Secretary of Tourism of that city, Leonardo Gaffet, Minister of Tourism of the province of Chubut, representatives of the airline and of different chambers and tourism associations. The baptism of the Boeing 737-800 NG plane that landed for the first time at the local airport was also carried out.
“Today is a very special day for us, we arrived in Puerto Madryn, a destination that we had wanted to incorporate into our connectivity network for a long time. Each new route that is inaugurated is experienced with great joy, because it fills us with pride to be able to continue adding flights. And it is also very good news for the province of Chubut, which as of today begins to have one more connection alternative with low rates to Buenos Aires. We want to continue to connect the country and thanks to our 2X Plan we are on the right track,” said Mauricio Sana, CEO of Flybondi.
As part of its growth plan, the company recently incorporated its sixth aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 NG with registration LV-KDR, which is already operational. According to its 2X Plan, the arrival of the rest of the aircraft is expected in the coming months, reaching the 10 scheduled aircraft.
