The Capital of the Center of the World is strengthened as the venue for international events

The Metropolitan Council, through Quito Tourism, participated in Fiexpo Panama 2022, a space that allowed the city to show all its offer to hold events, congresses and meetings of international stature.

In the event that took place from June 13 to 16, representatives of Hilton Colón Quito, Kleintours, Andean Travel Company, DMC, Mytourec and Ecuaultimate participated, who, together with Quito Turismo, held B2B meetings with at least 150 event organizers, international corporations, representatives of scientific and professional associations, among other organizations from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Peru, seeking venues for their events.

During those days, Quito presented its MICE offer that includes more than 70 locations for holding events, including heritage spaces; farms in rural areas; metropolitan parks; contemporary venues; lounges in 5 and 4 star hotels; and convention centers, such as the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center, the largest and most modern in the country.

At the event, Quito received recognition for its commitment to the city's events and meetings industry and its participation in Fiexpo over the years.

On the other hand, the Quito Tourism delegation participated in the Fiexpo 2022 Political Forum where the strategies of the governments were proposed to enhance meeting tourism in their cities and countries; and in academic events with international experts to learn about the latest trends in the industry that will be replicated in the Metropolitan District.

In addition, it was the stage for the Latin American Chapter of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), of which Quito is a member, to meet.
