The airline has a team of more than 13,000 diverse people from more than 32 nationalities; 5,147 women; 10 people with disabilities and since the year 2000 employees with same-sex partners have enjoyed the benefit of tickets

In a tribute to diversity, equity and inclusion, Avianca donned the pride flag. In one of its Airbus 320 with registration N724AV, the airline presented a new design that alludes to the colors of this insignia. With this aircraft, the airline celebrates its long history on issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

• More than 32 nationalities present in the company.
• 47% of employees are between 20 and 40 years old and more than 30% are between 41 and 60 years old.
• 5,147 women are part of the company -186 of them hold managerial positions, 99 are pilots and 211 are from the maintenance team-.
• 10 people with different abilities in customer service roles.
• Since 2000, ticket benefits for collaborators include couples of the same gender.

"Diversity goes beyond a celebration, it is in Avianca's DNA, we are all welcome regardless of age, beliefs, races, cultures, gender identities or sexual orientations," said Gustavo Esusy, commercial manager for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay After completing the painting process, which took around 450 man-hours at the Avianca Aeronautical Maintenance Center (MRO) located in Rionegro - Antioquia, the aircraft of diversity has been flying through the Colombian skies since 3 July.

Avianca customers flying on the aircraft of diversity will also be able to enjoy one of the company's commitments to become an airline for all: with a capacity of 180 seats, which allows reducing the carbon footprint per passenger by up to 13%, and with the offer of new seats that includes the 3 options: Premium, Plus and Economy, available to everyone.
