Ecuador continues to recover its air connectivity


Confidence in the country is ratified by the recovery of air connectivity and the projection of an increase in routes and frequencies for the second half of the year
As of July 2022, 78% of international airlines have recovered, which currently operate 22 routes with 269 weekly frequencies, flying to 14 destinations abroad. Among them is Latam, which since July increased its Guayaquil – Santiago de Chile route to seven weekly flights.
As for domestic connectivity, the recovery is 71%, with four airlines flying 10 routes with 271 weekly frequencies to nine national destinations.
Regarding the start of new operations, it is confirmed that from September KLM will resume its Amsterdam-Quito-Guayaquil-Amsterdam route, with seven weekly flights, while Ecuador and Argentina will resume their connection after four years with the activation of the Quito-Buenos Aires route. which will begin to fly from October with seven weekly frequencies.
These actions allow us to promote inviting travelers to visit the tourist attractions of Ecuador and continue with the reactivation of the sector.
