Mexican Caribbean receives recognition for its excellence as a destination for the MICE segment
The HEEL awards granted by MPI Mexico celebrate their 6th edition
The Mexican Caribbean was the winner in the category "Excellence as a Destination", in the most important awards of the Meetings Industry at the national level, the Heel awards, granted by MPI Mexico Chapter.
These awards, which celebrate their 6th edition, recognize national destinations and other organizations such as Convention and Visitors Bureaus, for having demonstrated their excellence in the development, implementation and training, creating business opportunities within the Meetings Industry, in the field of best practices, service, marketing, sales, promotion and brand positioning. The winners were chosen through an evaluation and approval process carried out by a Certifying Board who verified that the participants complied with having effectively positioned the destination, promotion office and/or region, having created service excellence and business opportunities for the involved in the Meetings Industry, showing interest in ongoing training and education.

From June 2020 to June this year, more than 22.3 million passengers have arrived in Quintana Roo and national and international air connectivity has been recovered, even with more frequencies and new routes; Likewise, the Meetings Industry has had a notable reactivation with the celebration of weddings, events, incentive trips and conventions that had not been possible to carry out in previous years.
In addition, great events have been held for this and the coming years, such as the National Congress of the Meetings Industry, CNIR 2022, to be held in Cancun in August, where 600 participants are expected to attend, and the World Education Congress. , WEC 2023, which will take place in Riviera Maya, with more than 2,400 participants.

The Heel Awards took place last Friday night, in a gala ceremony at the Sofitel hotel in Mexico City.
