On July 14, the third board meeting of Visit Buenos Aires, the public-private agency for the promotion of international tourism in the City, was held, where the results of the work carried out in the first half of the year were shown and the the action plan for the coming months.

The meeting took place at the Government Headquarters of the City of Buenos Aires and during it Karina Perticone, Executive Director of Visit Buenos Aires and her team presented the details of the actions carried out during the first six months of the year. They included the city's prescience in: ANATO (Bogotá), Emotions (Buenos Aires), WTM Latam (Sao Paulo), Meet UP (Buenos Aires), ILTM (Sao Paulo), IMEX (Frankfurt), FIEXPO (Panama) , Can Congress (London); and trade missions in the cities of Asunción, Montevideo, Brasilia and São Paulo.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Visit Buenos Aires were its President Fernando Straface, Secretary General and International Relations of the City of Buenos Aires; Daniel Prieto, President AHRCC; Daniel Manzella Vice President Association of Tourism Hotels (AHT); Mariano Castex, President of the Buenos Aires Convention & Visitors Bureau; Ambrosio Mayer and Marcelo Freire for the Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies of Buenos Aires (AVIABUE); Camila Suarez, Executive Director of the Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires; Pablo Lera, Undersecretary of Economic Development of the City of Buenos Aires, María Victoria Alcaraz, Director of Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and Francisco Resnicoff, Undersecretary of International Relations of the City of Buenos Aires.

During the meeting, the main promotion actions and commercial missions to be carried out in the priority markets in the second half of the year were presented. Issues related to the collection strategy were also discussed, emphasizing the importance of the Urban Use Tax and its application for international promotion, and the commitment of the private sector to collect it was expressed.

At the closing, a presentation was made about the C40 meeting that will be held in October in the city and will be visited by 42 mayors and will have a great impact on receptive tourism in the city.
